Have You Noticed…? Teenage texting…Is it stalking …Micro attention or …just A fantasy world?

Although I want to encourage industry of all kinds, there is a tech item being used by the teenagers that scares me for their future wellbeing.

In a short conversation the other day with a young man, his cell phone notified him at least 10 times that he had a text.  I asked him if this happened all the time and he replied, YES.  It was a girl texting him over and over again.

This made me aware of the dangers that could lurk in the future, as texting is used to condition young people so they may become CONTROL FREAKS (text stalkers) or easily become the victim of a CONTROL FREAK.

These young adults should not have to answer to anyone but their parents or caretakers about “where they are and what they are doing” and also this may constitute “peer pressures, run amuck”.  These are exactly the techniques a domestic violent criminal employs to gain absolute control of their victim.  Now, texting can be used as their stalking weapon of choice, thus making the abuser capable of constantly having their abusive thumb on the victim’s whereabouts and activities.  Is this appropriate?  Or Whack-O behavior?

Tell me what you think.
