What Are Some Of The Types Of
                  Domestic Abusers?

I have identified at least eight different types of domestic abusers in my book titled Family Terror.

As I was a victim myself and spent time in a shelter for abused women, I came into contact with other victims.  There were many conversations with other victims and I made comparisons of their stories to my own.  This is the data that I used to come up with the eight types that I have named in the book.  So this information was derived from real situations that real victims have described.

One thing I know for sure is that I want to help those other victims out there.  I want to see them heal from their injuries.  I want these victims to be stronger because of what happened to them.  I want these victims to know that God loves them.  I want these victims to insure that their children know that God loves them as this is what I hung on to until I could see my way to escape.  I knew in the back of my mind that the brainwashing that was used on me by the abuser with the purpose of causing me to think that I had no value and therefore deserved the terrible torturous treatment could not be true because I knew God loved me.    This is what gave me the hope to escape the terror of abuse and violence.  Since we don't know what our children will encounter in their lives at the very least instill in your children the knowledge of God's love for them.  It saved me and gave me hope.
