         Domestic Violence, Abuse Or
      Family Terror Against Women Can
          Dramatically Be  Improved
          By A Community's Actions!

There is a great deal that communities can do to decrease the incidences of domestic abuse, violence or family terror against women.
The first and most important step to finally ending domestic violence is acknowledging it's existence.  Awareness is critical; and nothing can be solved as long as it continues to be a secret.
Planned responses of the community need to be developed for ending this family terror in the homes of our children.
Knowledge will allow preventative measures to be developed and implemented.
Schools and community organizations need to have reoccurring educational programs to help with prevention and identification of existing domestic violence or family terror situations.
Employers need education to help them identify employees that might be at risk for being a victim or being an abuser.  Proper documentation for the protection of all involved needs to be implemented.  Employers need also to participate in programs to help these victims claim their independence and self-sufficiency so that they will see the hope that abuse, violence and family terror will be a thing in the past for them.
Medical assistance needs to implement measures to identify victims, children and abusers at risk.  Procedures need to be implemented to offer assistance to all patients; should they desire medical or psychological help and or escape assistance.
Victims need to know that someone cares.
This topic is addressed as well as many more in the book Family Terror.  As a victim of domestic violence it is my opinion that no book has ever addressed domestic violence in as much detail.  If you or someone you know is trapped in domestic violence, click to order the book for information about solutions and help.  Buy the Book
