       What Does Domestic Violence,
Abuse or Family Terror Against Women,
                  Cost Our Children?

A child that grows up in a domestic violent, family terror or abusive home, never really feels safe.  This child feels as though his home may disappear at any moment.  Therefore, no stable environment ever exists for this child.  These children always have in their mind to by hyper vigilant for survival.  The children may feel they are the reason that the violence exists in their home. Because they think that they could have been better and everyone might have escaped the injuries, these children live with guilt when in fact they are in no way responsible.

What is the cost of domestic violence, abuse or family terror to our children?  The cost is the loss of innocence and a time to be a child.  This is a crime by the abuser and also a crime committed by the mother that does not remove these children out of this environment.

This topic is addressed as well as many more in the book Family Terror.  As a victim of domestic violence it is my opinion that no book has ever addressed domestic violence in as much detail.  If you or someone you know is trapped in domestic violence, click here to order the book for information about avenues of solutions.
